My all-time favorite thing to wear is a good oversize grandpa sweater. I have SO many of them it’s ridiculous. It’s the only thing I really can’t resist buying, but I only buy the ones I truly love. I have them in all colors, knits, and styles, muted tones, bright ones, and a lot that I’ve spotted in the men’s section.
This one is from Zara and I bought it last year from their Fall collection. I’ve worn it to bits already as it’s just so soft and comfy.
I’ve paired it up with this gorgeous wool scarf that I found for a steal at the airport in December. I love the muted orange stripe with the dark navy blue paired with my forest boots and three pairs of thick fleece tights. Actually, two pairs of those and a pair of Sainsbury’s thermals. I adore thermals, something I just discovered this year, and it’s enabled me to not yet have to spend money on an actual winter coat. If the snow doesn’t come, I’ll be able to get through winter just wearing Daryl’s green raincoat.
I used to never wear blue, but after going ginger I’ve just loved the color and how it brings out the hues in my hair. I’ve even bought a lovely plaid dress to go with it, and I’m honestly obsessed. Wearing this combo to my favorite forest in a sea of golden leaves felt just perfect and I’m definitely willing to waddle around with the tightest and thickest of tights, in order to wear a dress out in the middle of winter.
