For a few years now I’ve been collecting vintage Polaroid cameras. I buy them at flea markets and clean them up, and every time it’s thrilling to test out a film, see if they still work, and how the photos turn out.
Every camera has its own little quirks. Some might add a bit of extra light, others might tint the photo, and others might be super sharp.
So far I own 9 vintage Polaroid cameras, but last year Daryl bought me an Instant Lab, which is a camera that allows you to expose images from your phone. That way I wouldn’t be full of regrets if I saw something lovely but didn’t have my camera on me.
So this year I bought a shiny metallic red foil film from the Impossible Project, and I’ve made a bunch of winter and Christmas photos to adorn our walls for the holidays. I love how they turned out and the red frame fits perfectly!
If you like to take one of a kind photos of special moments, I definitely recommend checking out your flea markets and picking up an old instant camera. It’s so fun and your memories will no longer be hidden on your phone.

Love the new blog!! My stepmom collects old vintage cameras too, I’ve wanted to start alongside her for a while. I’ll have to look around this summer at antique shops and flea markets to see if I can find my first vintage camera.
Thank you! I really hope you find yourself a camera! It’s so much fun! ?
