Daryl and I took baby N for a walk yesterday, and

Daryl and I took baby N for a walk yesterday, and decided to bring the camera so I could get a shot of my new shirt. However, baby N did not want me to leave her to play model but insisted on coming. So I picked her up and gave her a hug. But the thing is, she ONLY likes it when I'm the one behind the camera doing all her favorite silly faces. If it's Daryl she'll put on this sulky face, as his expressions aren't near as funny as mine haha. This is why I have very few cute mother/daughter pictures, and Daryl has a ton of the two of them smiling together. Oh well!

I want to show you reality anyway. Especially since this whole photo thing was about me showing you my new linen shirt gifted from @hachiten_shop 🙌🏻 They kindly picked out two tops for me that fit my needs for both fashion and as a mom. Comfy, classic, tempered and easy to wash. And I'm obsessed with the texture!

I love the muted colors, which fit very well with my style choices recently. With all the bright baby toys everywhere, I need some calming colors to balance it out. Thank you so much for your kindness and support @hachiten_shop ❤️

I've been thinking a lot about traveling lately and about how it will be to traveling with a little one. We're supposed to get married in October if covid permits, and would like to go on a honeymoon. Baby N doesn't know any of her family members because of covid, so we'd bring her with us instead of leaving her with them. I don't know where the best place to travel with a one year old would be, but we're leaning towards Paris where we could meet up with friends and also take her to Disneyland. Also it's romantic for us as we've been there together before and have great memories. But maybe it's not honeymooney enough? Maybe somewhere new would be more interesting. But that's more difficult with a baby. Thoughts?

Here's another image. I'd planned on posting this in October 2019, and then morning sickness hit before I was prepared. I actually got so sick that I had to cancel two visits by friends, and instead ended up in the hospital for weekly IVs.

Looking at my old pictures now is a bit ambivalent and bitter sweet. They somehow don't look like me. It's like I wasn't me before but I'm me now. I've been waiting for so so long to become a mom, and everything I did before seems to have just been to pass the time. Of course that's not really the case, and I loved every second, but now it just seems like everything before happened to someone else far away. With that said, Malene and I have been taking about finding a safe way to take pics again. It would require testing and planning but maybe? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would love to go somewhere in nature with my bestie, a cute outfit and my trusty camera. I just did a big clothing konmari and got rid of tons in tiny sizes and I feel a lot lighter. I'm thinking about where to go now style wise, as the fairytale look really doesn't fit my daily routine. If I dressed up like that now just for the gram, I wouldn't feel authentic, and I don't want to do that. I'm thinking that Japanese looks might suit me best. Both in terms of comfort, but also colors and fit. That's not to say I won't wear my fairytale clothes, just not when I log around little baby N, who is intent on using her new teeth to bite through all my sleeves and collars. 🥴

I edited an image! Wow! It was sooo nice. It's been ages and ages. It's one of the things that relaxes me the most, so to find time to do it again was amazing! I usually spend a lot longer than I did on this one, but I'm not going to play the instagram game so it doesn't matter. I must say, being off IG has been very good for my mental health. There are a lot of things I miss, but there are also things I really don't miss. The algorithm, having to try and figure out how to beat the algorithm, measuring myself by my followers and shopping things just for the gram. I haven't bought anything for myself for about a year. Only stuff for baby girl and groceries. Hair dye once and a few t-shirts for my new body.

I spend A LOT on groceries though. I buy a new batch of fresh veggies and fruit every week and I eat loads of it to be healthy and also cook many meals for baby N. Right now she's rejecting all of my meals and only wants to eat strawberries. I can't say I blame her (despite the TikTok worm videos from last year). 🍓

This picture is from @frilandsmuseet and I miss it so so much! I wish I could go and have the whole place to myself to finally breathe without worrying about corona. But hopefully with the vaccine coming this summer, it won't be long until I introduce my baby to my favorite place ❤️

With Halloween upon us, I wanted to share these pictures that I took on my first visit to Disneyland back in 1992. I fell in love with Phantom Manor (Haunted Mansion for you in the US) from the moment I saw it towering up in front of me. I was supposed to go to the park last October, but my pregnancy prevented me from making the trip. Thankfully I have a lifetime of pictures to keep me in a lovely spooky mood for the season. Happy Halloween everyone! 🎃

I've spent the weekend getting things out to finally decorate for autumn. I'm later than usual as I have no energy. My hormones are whack and I've been sick several times a day. My hair is falling out again, but that was expected. Daryl's going to try and cut it short, as I can't go outside to see my hairdresser. I'm sure I'll end up with something...interesting 🙈 I'm just so tired so we've been binging Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's a show that I missed back in the 90s, and it's great for the season. Back then I was too hooked on Dawson's Creek to care about anything else. 😂 What's your current binge? ❤️ #teampaceyforever

Thank goodness I have lots of old photos I can post until I'm able to take new ones 🥴 It's now my favorite season and even motherhood tiredness can't keep me away! If all goes as planned we'll be autumn decorating on Sunday. 🙌🏻 We're having baby girl's naming day on Saturday online. It's odd having a celebration like that on camera, but we're going to make the best of it and have planned games and cute floral decorations. 🍁

We're still debating whether or not to even share our baby's name outside our circle of family and friends. Social media culture is really not made for respecting a child's privacy, and it's difficult to decide when to share and when not to. I'm curious how you all feel about our current share-all culture? I'm a very open person so it's a new dilemma for me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I haven't worn any of my wigs in aaages and I've actually sold half of them, but I've kept all my favorites. I love being able to turn myself into whoever I visualize in the stories I tell with my photos. It's not always a ginger girl that I want. 😄

I have no freaking idea how I'm going to toggle my photography with having a baby and maybe finally getting a job now that my bipolar is under control. It won't be until after my maternity leave of course, but I always like planning a bit ahead. Ideally I'd want to stay home with my baby until she reaches kindergarten age but I don't know how that would work financially. 🤷🏼‍♀️

One thing that's been very interesting for me thro

One thing that's been very interesting for me through this quarantine, is how little I have shopped. I simply haven't felt like it, and most things suddenly seem pointless and I don't get why I wanted to spend money on them before. .

I've bought things for the baby of course, but I've kept it to necessities and a few stuffed animals. She has more than enough clothes thanks to Daryl's mom and we actually don't have room for them all. We're still in our one bedroom apartment so that also limits our need to shop. But things for myself just isn't a priority and not because of the baby. I'm not dressing up, I'm not wearing makeup, I'm not changing decor (and I don't need to). .

It's been good for my wallet and my conscience and I don't feel like I've missed out on anything. I didn't even want anything for my birthday, but Daryl bought me a belly band, that I have yet to wear as I don't go out. I'll try it soon though. Despite my strong konmari convictions, I have been tempted in the past to buy a lot of things that I really didn't need and now that I'm aware of how much that has been a part of a sort of addiction cycle, I do think I can break it. 🙌🏻 Have you guys felt less like shopping since the lockdown?

Daryl and I were in the midst of looking for a new home when the pandemic hit, so we've had to put that on pause for now, but the dream is to live near the city, but in nature. One thing I envy is when I see people who have direct access to a forest or a lovely garden, and I very much want my baby to grow up having that. 😍

I personally grew up in a small city apartment with my single parent mom, but she always made sure that I got to be outside in nature. It's why I love @frilandsmuseet as much as I do. We'd go out there every summer from I was a baby, and we'd picnic and I'd play around in the grass while she would make me a dandelion flower crown. 🌼 I wish I had the pictures so I could show you! It's definitely what started my love of nature early on and I can't wait to take my baby there when she's old enough and it's safe. 🙌🏻

One thing that I keep laughing about is that when the baby comes, I get to do EVERYTHING again. I never thought about it much before, but now I realize that I'm heading into childhood, but on the other side.

I'll get to teach her so many things, introduce her to the world and to everything that I love and want for her. I'll see her have an ice cream for the first time, I'll teach her how to hold a pencil, I'll tell her the story of Little Red Riding Hood for the very first time. I'll buy her her first bike and I'll take her to all my favorite places. 🙌🏻

I'm about to embark on a trip not just into the future but also into the past. I've been revisiting my memories of my own childhood and have picked out special memories I want to turn into my own thing with my baby, like when my mom would conjure up Kinder Eggs from behind my ear, or when she'd turn my wash cloth into a bunny to entertain me at bath time. It's fun to get ready and I'm so excited! Daryl can't wait to read books and watch Doctor Who with her, and he's already planning for them to build spaceships together. 🙈 It's going to be so great! .

I would love to go somewhere in nature with my bestie, a cute outfit and my trusty camera. I just did a big clothing konmari and got rid of tons in tiny sizes and I feel a lot lighter. I'm thinking about where to go now style wise, as the fairytale look really doesn't fit my daily routine. If I dressed up like that now just for the gram, I wouldn't feel authentic, and I don't want to do that. I'm thinking that Japanese looks might suit me best. Both in terms of comfort, but also colors and fit. That's not to say I won't wear my fairytale clothes, just not when I log around little baby N, who is intent on using her new teeth to bite through all my sleeves and collars. 🥴

I edited an image! Wow! It was sooo nice. It's been ages and ages. It's one of the things that relaxes me the most, so to find time to do it again was amazing! I usually spend a lot longer than I did on this one, but I'm not going to play the instagram game so it doesn't matter. I must say, being off IG has been very good for my mental health. There are a lot of things I miss, but there are also things I really don't miss. The algorithm, having to try and figure out how to beat the algorithm, measuring myself by my followers and shopping things just for the gram. I haven't bought anything for myself for about a year. Only stuff for baby girl and groceries. Hair dye once and a few t-shirts for my new body.

I spend A LOT on groceries though. I buy a new batch of fresh veggies and fruit every week and I eat loads of it to be healthy and also cook many meals for baby N. Right now she's rejecting all of my meals and only wants to eat strawberries. I can't say I blame her (despite the TikTok worm videos from last year). 🍓

With Halloween upon us, I wanted to share these pictures that I took on my first visit to Disneyland back in 1992. I fell in love with Phantom Manor (Haunted Mansion for you in the US) from the moment I saw it towering up in front of me. I was supposed to go to the park last October, but my pregnancy prevented me from making the trip. Thankfully I have a lifetime of pictures to keep me in a lovely spooky mood for the season. I've spent the weekend getting things out to finally decorate for autumn. I'm later than usual as I have no energy. My hormones are whack and I've been sick several times a day. My hair is falling out again, but that was expected. Daryl's going to try and cut it short, as I can't go outside to see my hairdresser. I'm sure I'll end up with something...interesting 🙈 I'm just so tired so we've been binging Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's a show that I missed back in the 90s, and it's great for the season. Thank goodness I have lots of old photos I can post until I'm able to take new ones 🥴 It's now my favorite season and even motherhood tiredness can't keep me away! If all goes as planned we'll be autumn decorating on Sunday. 🙌🏻 We're having baby girl's naming day on Saturday online. It's odd having a celebration like that on camera, but we're going to make the best of it and have planned games and cute floral decorations. 🍁

We're still debating whether or not to even share our baby's name outside our circle of family and friends. Social media culture is really not made for respecting a child's privacy, and it's difficult to decide when to share and when not to. I'm curious how you all feel about our current share-all culture? It won't be until after my maternity leave of course, but I always like planning a bit ahead. One thing that's been very interesting for me through this quarantine, is how little I have shopped. I simply haven't felt like it, and most things suddenly seem pointless and I don't get why I wanted to spend money on them before. .

I've bought things for the baby of course, but I've kept it to necessities and a few stuffed animals. She has more than enough clothes thanks to Daryl's mom and we actually don't have room for them all. We're still in our one bedroom apartment so that also limits our need to shop. But things for myself just isn't a priority and not because of the baby. I'm not dressing up, I'm not wearing makeup, I'm not changing decor (and I don't need to). .

It's been good for my wallet and my conscience and I don't feel like I've missed out on anything. I didn't even want anything for my birthday, but Daryl bought me a belly band, that I have yet to wear as I don't go out. I'll try it soon though. Despite my strong konmari convictions, I have been tempted in the past to buy a lot of things that I really didn't need and now that I'm aware of how much that has been a part of a sort of addiction cycle, I do think I can break it. 🙌🏻 Have you guys felt less like shopping since the lockdown?

Daryl and I were in the midst of looking for a new home when the pandemic hit, so we've had to put that on pause for now, but the dream is to live near the city, but in nature. One thing I envy is when I see people who have direct access to a forest or a lovely garden, and I very much want my baby to grow up having that. 😍

I personally grew up in a small city apartment with my single parent mom, but she always made sure that I got to be outside in nature. It's why I love @frilandsmuseet as much as I do. We'd go out there every summer from I was a baby, and we'd picnic and I'd play around in the grass while she would make me a dandelion flower crown. 🌼 I wish I had the pictures so I could show you! It's definitely what started my love of nature early on and I can't wait to take my baby there when she's old enough and it's safe. 🙌🏻

One thing that I keep laughing about is that when the baby comes, I get to do EVERYTHING again. I never thought about it much before, but now I realize that I'm heading into childhood, but on the other side.

I'll get to teach her so many things, introduce her to the world and to everything that I love and want for her. I'll see her have an ice cream for the first time, I'll teach her how to hold a pencil, I'll tell her the story of Little Red Riding Hood for the very first time. I'll buy her her first bike and I'll take her to all my favorite places. 🙌🏻

I'm about to embark on a trip not just into the future but also into the past. I've been revisiting my memories of my own childhood and have picked out special memories I want to turn into my own thing with my baby, like when my mom would conjure up Kinder Eggs from behind my ear, or when she'd turn my wash cloth into a bunny to entertain me at bath time. It's fun to get ready and I'm so excited! Daryl can't wait to read books and watch Doctor Who with her, and he's already planning for them to build spaceships together. 🙈 It's going to be so great! .
